RESEARCH AND CONTESTS

COLOR AND PIGMENT IN MY LIFE

Through the years I decided to stay on education as my main purpose. I simply cannot describe the joy it brings to me to be able to inspire my alumni and be able to provide them with options outside the “box” of the rules they are used to. However, I have never let go of my desire of being a researcher. Despite me not pursuing an academical career that doesn’t mean I haven’t kept on studying and researching many options with the help of many people I have found all these years. Being the uses od color, pigments and history my passion I have been able to participate in some research projects which include the properties of watercolor and paper from a physics and statistic, also the rheological properties of red lakes that we made from scratch and the participation in the elaboration of patterns to study fractal dimension, using the techniques of Pollock and David Alfaro Siqueiros among others.

Art is one of my passions as a hobby, through the years I have participated in some contests, being oils and watercolor my favorite media as a painter. Also, photography has always been very important to me and maybe one of the main reasons I decided to study physics in the first place. In 2021 we also developed a program to create music through the analysis of photography and it further became the dissertation project of one of my students.
